Privacy Policy

Soko24 is operated by Sanaa Co. This policy explains what information we use when you shop, book services, sell, deliver, or communicate through Soko24.
Information you choose to give us
We collect account details such as your name, phone number, email address and profile information; delivery addresses and location pins; orders, bookings, messages and support requests; and photos or files you select for a profile, listing, review or conversation. Seller Terminal also processes shop profiles, staff names and roles, product and service catalogues, customer and sales records, inventory, expenses, shifts, receipts, campaigns and related business activity so the service can operate and sync across authorised terminals.
Seller Terminal accesses device contacts only after a separate opt-in. If a seller enables contact sync, the app uploads selected contact names, phone numbers and email addresses to that seller's Soko24 customer list so the seller can manage customer relationships and marketing across authorised terminals. Contact access is optional: sellers can decline it and continue using the app, or turn off future syncing in Settings. Turning sync off does not automatically delete contacts already uploaded; sellers can manage those customer records in the app or request deletion. In the shopper experience, optional contact access may also be used to help discover people already using Soko24.
On Android, Soko24 uses the system photo picker so the app receives only the image or file you select.
Location
When you allow location while adding an address, we use your current position to suggest an editable delivery address, estimate delivery and show relevant nearby options. Location is not required to browse, and you may enter or choose another place manually. You can withdraw device permission in Settings.
Transactions and payments
We process cart, order, booking, delivery, refund and payment-status information. Cash on delivery is handled by Soko24 and its delivery partners. Mobile-money and card payments are securely handled by Pesapal; Soko24 does not place Pesapal secret keys in the mobile app and does not store full card numbers.
Device, diagnostics and notifications
We may process device and app identifiers, push-notification tokens, security events, approximate network information, app performance, crash diagnostics and feature usage. We use this information to keep accounts secure, deliver notifications, diagnose failures and improve Soko24. Production crash and performance diagnostics are handled through Google Firebase.
How we use and share information
We use data to provide accounts, run and synchronise Seller Terminal business tools, fulfil purchases and bookings, deliver seller communications such as opted-in SMS campaigns, calculate delivery, prevent fraud, provide support, measure reliability and meet legal obligations. We share only what is needed with the seller or service provider you choose, authorised staff for that shop, delivery partners, Pesapal, Google Maps and geocoding services, Firebase, hosting, communications and customer-support providers, and authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
We keep information only while it is needed to operate your account, complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and satisfy tax, accounting or other legal requirements. When it is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. We use access controls, encryption in transit and restricted production credentials, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit profile and delivery information, control permissions in device Settings, and delete your account inside the Soko24 app. You may also submit a deletion request without opening the app at soko24.co/account/delete-request. We may retain limited records where law, fraud prevention, chargebacks or unresolved transactions require it.
Children and changes
Soko24 is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product or law changes and will publish the new effective date here.
